Hope's Story

ree

Hope is around 17 years and has lived with us for about 7 years now. When she came she was like a wild, mad woman always dirty and fighting with the boys. She wasn’t interested in learning and was always in trouble.

She was born out of wedlock and her Mother tried to kill her upon birth, she was rescued by her Grandmother and then was passed around family members until she became difficult to handle and they would pass her on again. She has suffered from seizures all her life but was never treated or properly diagnosed due to poverty and so was labelled as stubborn and difficult and was sent away. Her family have refused to have anything to do with her since !!

She is now on medicine and is much better, her mind is clearer now she no longer has headaches all the time. One blessing of coming to the ministry !

She has behaviour issues and can be aggressive towards the other girls at times and is very loud and vocal. She has not been able to remember things like her ABC from one day to the next and has had no desire to learn and so has been at home helping .

Since we moved to our new home in Bassa she has slowly improved, she likes the farming and the increase in numbers of girls has been good for her. She is still challenging but is much improved in her dress, her femininity and she recently testified she is enjoying learning now and is progressing in a small group learning style.

She is kind and hardworking and is becoming a responsible member of the house, God has a plan for her and only he knows her future but we can see some progress to which I am very thankful.

She has no one besides us and so we continue day to day , strengthened by the Lord to care for those no one else wants to know. His precious children.
